The Obama Administration continues to contradict the President’s call to “reduce the conditions that lead to a woman choosing abortion.” By increasing funding of abortions, allowing abortion to be considered in the public option for federally subsidized health care and directing federal funding to more embryo research from IVF and fertility therapies, the Administration is actually increasing the number of abortions and de facto abortions.

Amsterdam July 8 Can we accept another collective deportation of African migrants? M2M (Migrant to Migrant) has received reliable information that several EU countries have planned a special charter flight from Amsterdamn Airport Schiphol to Africa, carrying tens of undocumented migrants back to Africa. Reliable church sources in Germany and Belgium ask for addictional information and M2M calls for concerted action to protest against this form of “human trafficking”.

The New York Times and AP reported yesterday that a federal lawsuit filed last April against the New York Yankees and the city of New York has been settled. Plaintiff, Bradford Campeau-Laurion, claimed he was the victim of religious and political discrimination when a police officer enforced a policy of restricting fan movement during the playing of “God Bless America”– a song played during the 7th inning stretch at Yankee baseball games. Ushers typically blocked some exits while the song was played.
