Outpost from the Enthusiasm Gap

I don’t speak for all liberals, much less for all Democrats, but I can say that my share of the so-called “enthusiasm gap” will not be closed by hectoring . Emotional states arise from circumstances and perceptions, not verbal demands to inhabit the emotional states. (Oh, how I wish I had more time in my day to blog about breaking news like this…) For years in the “Chitlin’ Circuit”, wayfaring Christian soldiers have heard the eerie whispers of Bishop Eddie Long’s desire to create his own army that marched under a different flag – a rainbow one that wisped gently

What should Imam Rauf say?

In a recent Wall Street Journal article, terrorism analyst Evan Kohlmann said that anti-Muslim rhetoric in America is bad news for anti-terrorism efforts: “We are handing al Qaeda a propaganda coup, an absolute propaganda coup.” By many accounts, the man who could blunt the power of that coup is Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, the religious leader behind the planned Islamic Center near Ground Zero. The imam has been surprisingly mum on the issue while he…Please click on the title to continue reading this entry.
