If President Obama does not use his power to aggressively investigate and pursue this matter to the full extent of the law, he should be impeached and removed. Visit msnbc.com for breaking news , world news , and news about the economy It has been a year since Barack Obama was sworn in as president, so it is no longer adequate to point vaguely in the direction of Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, Mukasey and the rest of the despicable clowns who oversaw the previous junta. Or rather: we have an established method for assessing and assigning blame (and its absence) under our system — a legal system with long-established rules of evidence and standards of due process.

Ohio High Schoolers Fight Removal of God From School Mission Statement

In Uniontown, Ohio, the school board last month voted to change the school’s mission statement to temporarily remove “belief in God” from the school district’s mission statement after a complaint from the Freedom from Religion Foundation. (See prior posting .) Fox 8 News Cleveland yesterday reported on efforts of two high school students, Mackenzie Muchalk and Alex Looney, who are fighting the school board’s move. They are selling T-shirts that read: “We value a belief in God” on the front and, on the back, “They can take his name out of our mission statement but they can NEVER take Him out of our hearts.” They want the audience at next month’s school board meeting to attend wearing the T-shirts

Over 40 Killed After Muslims Attack Nigeria Church

Over 40 people have been killed in the Nigerian city of Jos in the country’s Plateau State, after around 200 Muslim youths attacked Christians near a Catholic Church sparking retaliatory violence, Christian rights investigators said Monday, January 18.
