Deeds supports abortion as eugenics?

Since the Washington Post and Creigh Deeds seem to want to talk about abortion so much, despite the economy, jobs, transportation, education and a host of other issues seeming to be the dominant issues of the campaign, I think I’ll oblige them. Creigh Deeds was recently speaking at a church in Hampton Roads and had the opportunity to discuss abortion. His statement on abortion is appalling…claiming that he’s “never been so poor or so desperate” to think about abortion as an option.

Great Ideas To Guide In Planning An Enchanting Cinderella Wedding

by Aaron Hu The story of Cinderella is one that just about every girl knows. It is one of the favorites because it is not about a princess in trouble but a rags to riches story where a girl forced by life and family to become a servant gains the chance for her shining moment and becomes for a magical night the princess she dreams of being. Of course the dream ends and she has to overcome obstacles to be with her prince but in the end the dream ends of having the seed of truth and substance tha

Bruce Whiteley – a personal milestone — 100,000 miles

This is just a fabulous story of one man’s persistence… ( excerpted from an article by GARY DEMUTH/Salina Journal ) “It’s kind of unbelievable,” the Salinan said. “When I set out to ride a bike at age 47, I had no idea I would come this far.” Whiteley started keeping track of his biking mileage in 1987, when he rode 1,800 miles. His yearly total continued to rise before peaking in 1997 at 7,300 miles

South Florida is Perfect for Weddings

I have lived all over the United States and attended weddings in at least ten of them.  There have been garden ceremonies, small church weddings, and affairs which involved hundreds of guests and a cathedral.  All of them were fun, most were romantic, and I liked each one.  However, I always knew that I would be married on the beach in South Florida because my favorite ceremonies had all been Miami Weddings .  Fortunately I met an outdoors man who loved the water and completely agreed with my b

World Changers and the New Express Schedule

Most of you are aware that World Changers has gone to an “express” schedule for all of its projects in 2010.  There’s been a lot of discussion about the schedule change, the reasons behind it, and the lack of options being offered.  Obviously, everyone has an opinion.  Here’s mine, from the perspective of someone who has participated in World Changers since 1993.  I’ve been a group leader for three different churches over the years, recruiting and bringing over 500 students to projects, and sinc

Alençon – one of Lower Normandy’s best secrets

Shhhhhhh! Keep it quiet – for Alençon in Lower Normandy is barely known to British tourists, yet it is a delight for those who enjoy getting away from the usual tourist traps to see a bit of  “real” France: a little gem in Lower Normandy untainted by tacky tourist shops, but justly proud of its rich history, architecture, produce and traditions. Many a motor sport fan passes Alençon en route to the Le Mans 24 Hours or the GP Motor Bike races, just 25 miles to the south of Alençon, but all that m

Time To End The Kindergarten Revolution

Imagine a school in which a number of children, year after year, refused to leave kindergarten. Eventually, being older and stronger, and hearing terrifying rumors about how children who progressed into higher grades eventually came to abandon some of the beliefs – nay, the certainties – they used to be certain of in kindergarten. And so, unable to get themselves to repeat kindergarten another year, they stage a coup, take control of the school and demand that everyone be taught the certaint

More About Health Care, or Grist for the Ill

First of all, some senator, whose name now escapes me, says the “death panels” are a bad thing because doctors shouldn’t be doing end-of-life counseling anyway, that’s the job of Jesus Christ and your minister. Well, aside from the fact that there ARE no “death panels,” and that many Americans are not Christian and therefore do not look to Jesus Christ for anything connected to the end of their lives, he actually has a point. We SHOULD be making these decisions in conjunction with our imam,

Christian Dating: How my father found love using online christian dating services

Posted in Miscellaneous | Monday, August 17th, 2009 Trackback My father is very serious about being a good christian and he goes to the church every sunday; but he is single and he would like to meet a woman who would go to the church with him.
